For Plant of Health, this product is surely the flagship. A favourite at Oxley Nursery, we honesty do use this stuff all the time in our gardens and on potted plants.
Organic Link is a slow release, high nitrogen, non-chemical fertilizer for plants in the garden or in pots. It could be thought of as next generation Blood & Bone, having similarly high nitrogen but with a more balanced nutrient ratio. As well as being a great plant feed, Organic Link also helps enrich your soil with carbon and organic matter, making it a fantastic soil improver as well. Use this if you know you have poor soils.
This product is generally fine for use on all plants, including phosphorous-sensitive Australian Native Plants. It’s especially good for heavy feeders such as fruit trees, Heliconias, Palms and vegetables. It’s suitable for potted plants also, and will not burn plant roots if applied correctly.
Organic Link comes as a fine powder, making it exceptionally easy to spread around. Being powder, you can even throw it straight onto your mulch and water it through, though it’s always recommended that fertilizers are applied directly to the soil for maximum effectiveness. Apply every few months as required, or simply once per season (Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter) for the sake of simplicity. This product is best applied along side a slow release granule such as Troforte. The longer release time frame of such a product (usually around 6mths), as well as the addition of trace elements, means that your plant won’t run out of steam between applications.
