Choc Dancer Flower

Heliconia ‘Chocolate Dancer’

Heliconia bihai ‘Chocolate Dancer’

Synonyms: None.

Chocolate Dancer is a favourite at Oxley Nursery thanks to the burgundy-red colouration of stems and petioles. This makes it even more attractive as a foliage plant. Chocolate Dancer is also quite tall-growing, making it a good choice for privacy screening. The flowers on this variety, while perhaps not as bold as others, are nonetheless exceptional, displaying a deep maroon with yellow/orange edges. Also relatively cold hardy.
